The Story Behind ZAZ

When I launched ZAZ Business Solutions, I knew the brand had to reflect more than just what I do. It had to reflect how I work and why I do it.
I enlisted the help of Kim, a dear friend I’ve known for over 45 years. As kids, we made up games, cooked up hair-brained schemes, got lost on our bikes, and even tried to breed our pet birds. Today, we live 3,000 miles apart and lead very different lives. But when I decided to launch this business, Kim immediately understood the vision. She helped me translate a swirl of ideas into something that felt deeply authentic. Something that still connects with that five-year-old version of me, before life, layoffs, kids, and a few extra pounds knocked the wind out of my creativity.
The result is a brand that brings together color, movement, and depth. It reflects exactly how I approach business.

### What the Logo Represents
🔷 **Light and Color**
The stained glass imagery was the first thing that clicked. I went deep into Pinterest, exploring vibrant, kaleidoscopic patterns until I found the one that felt just right. It represents the many facets of my experience and the diverse businesses I support. It’s also a reminder that when we shine light in the right places, we uncover solutions that bring clarity, profit, and peace of mind.
🌀 **The Spiral**
Inspired by the Fibonacci spiral, this shape reflects the natural beauty of patterns in math, nature, and architecture. It mirrors the way I approach leadership and business—a balance between structure and creativity, data and intuition. It also speaks to my “squiggly” career. I haven’t followed a straight line. I’ve moved up, sideways, and around, gaining new skills and perspective at every step.
🌿 **Fractals**
Fractals are patterns that repeat whether you zoom in or zoom out. You’ll find them in nature, in galaxies, and in complex systems. I had a fractal poster in my college dorm room, and I’ve loved them ever since. For ZAZ, fractals reflect how I work with business leaders: helping them hold both the big picture and the smallest detail at the same time.

What looks like a simple logo is actually a reflection of everything I bring to my work—strategy, empathy, structure, and a little bit of sparkle.
Welcome to ZAZ.
