I miss learning just for the sake of it.

Not for a promotion. Not for a career pivot. Just for curiosity or fun.
That same curiosity shows up in my work too. I work with seasoned founders who know their businesses inside and out. Every conversation is a chance to learn something new—about how they think, what they’ve built, and what’s next.
What if continuing education wasn’t just about career growth, but about staying curious and engaged with the world?
I’ve been thinking about the kind of learning I miss as an adult. Not just the branding and AI master classes, but the kind of learning that’s driven by wonder. The kind that helps us better understand the world around us.
For me, that shows up in all kinds of ways: revisiting subjects I didn’t fully appreciate the first time around, finally reading some of those assigned books I skipped, or diving into a creative skill just for the joy of it.
History: I was in a European History class when I found out the Berlin Wall was coming down. A lot has changed since then. I’d love to go back and study how the Cold War has shaped our world.
Literature: I reread a few classics every once in a while and continue to seek out new voices to understand how stories reflect or challenge our times. Yet, Shakespeare or a foreign novel full of symbolism? For that, I’d want the structure of a classroom.
Art & Skills: I love learning about artists, exploring museums, and picking up creative hobbies. Drawing, even if I’m not great at it. Trying a new instrument just because it’s fun.
This mindset carries into my work as an advisor. I partner with founders who’ve often been in their businesses for a while. They’re not looking for a playbook. They’re looking for someone who listens, learns quickly, and helps them find clarity and momentum.
What makes the work meaningful is that no two businesses or stories are the same. And that’s exactly what I love. Every engagement is an education in someone else’s vision, values, and challenges.
Continuing education doesn’t have to be about credentials. It can be about staying thoughtful, open, and connected—to ideas, to people, to the world.
What’s one subject or skill you’d revisit or explore? Let’s inspire each other to keep learning.
